Psychiatrist Service Fees

For Rural and Remote Australians (living in MM2 and above), we provide Bulk Billed Telehealth Services for 291 referrals and subsidised ADHD assessments.

ADHD assessment will take place in 2 sessions with the fees as below:

PRIOR DIAGNOSIS OF ADHD

For most patients, the ADHD assessment typically requires two appointments. This allows the psychiatrist to gather detailed information, conduct necessary evaluations, and provide a thorough diagnosis. However, we recognise that some patients may have already undergone previous assessments.

Previous diagnosis by psychiatrist or a paediatrician and if you can provide a confirmation letter stating this diagnosis, you may only need one assessment appointment. This streamlined process helps to avoid unnecessary repetition while still ensuring appropriate care.

For diagnosed with ADHD by a psychologist, we assess each case individually. This is due to variations in diagnostic processes and the need to consider additional medical information . In many instances, even with a prior psychological assessment, two appointments with a psychiatrist may still be necessary. This allows us to assess your condition, consider any medical and psychiatric co-morbidities, and evaluate the suitability of various medication options if indicated.

AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD)  ASSESSMENTS:

ASD assessment are complex and require more clinical time:

- Initial appointment  with Psychiatrist ($600)

- Appointment with the clinical psychologist for administration of diagnostic tools and psychological  assessment ($600)

- 2- 3 further appointments with psychologist / Psychiatrist ($330 each) to finalise the assessment and make recommendations if appropriate

- General ASD Report: $800+GST

- ASD Report for NDIS: - 1200 +GST

An assessment for both ASD and ADHD is a lengthy process. It requires at least  three full length appointments  ( 3x $600).

DEPOSIT AND FEE PAYMENTS:

A deposit of $200 is required at the time of the booking an initial appointment and remaining fee for appointment is to be paid 3 business days before the appointment. For follow up appointments, full fee is collected at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy Reasons

Our cancellation policy exists to ensure we can continue providing high-quality mental health care to all our patients. When appointments are cancelled with insufficient notice, we are unable to offer that time to other patients who may be waiting for urgent care. This impacts both our ability to help those in need and maintains the sustainability of our practice due to resources allocated to your booked appointment.

Our cancellation fee helps us to:

- Maintain appointment availability for those requiring urgent mental health support

- Cover the operational costs of our clinic

- Ensure our mental healthcare professionals can continue providing dedicated care

- Keep our overall consultation fees reasonable

- Respect the professional time allocated for your care

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide notice as early as possible so we can offer your appointment time to another patient in need.
